Manoj Mirchandani helps out the Young AGSA team with website and social media marketting. He currently works as a Financeial Advisory Consultant for Deloitte in Washington DC. In his spare time Manoj enjoys travlling and playing golf.
Priya Panjwani is a Finance Professional, having worked in various facets of the real estate industry, in the areas of asset management, risk management, and commercial real estate appraising. She has also worked within portfolio/ project management, holding various positions at the mangement level. Priya completed her Bachelors of Science in Finance & Economics from Fairleigh Dicinson University in New Jersey. She then went on for her Masters of Business Administration in Global Business Management, also from Fairleigh Dickson University. In addition to her education and career, Priya has also been heavily involved in the Sindhi community, with a strong passion for Sindhyat. She grew up going to the Sadhu Vaswani Center in Closter, NJ, helping her massi and masar as they would perform the Cheti Chand Behrano there every year. She has been involved in community service as well as learning about our rich Sindhi culture while growing up.
As Director with the India Association Aparna Nagpal has helped and chaired the Diwali Ball many times. She is also involved in the cultural affairs at the Indian Cultural Center in St. Thomas, USVI. She says "we try our best to bring a little bit of India to our Indian community especially the children. Being so far away from our roots". She truely believes that children lose some that culture and we have to try our best to replicate that from them down here.
Hanisha Ajay Alwani
Hanisha Ajay Alwani serves as a bridge between her cultural Indian community and local community in her adopted home of St. Maarten / St. Martin in the Caribbean. She has been integral in creating activities that share her culture with the wider Caribbean community. Her role as a cultural ambassador has led to a much better understanding and appreciation of the rich Indian heritage, within the local community of St. Maarten/St. Martin.
Sonali was born in Madrid but moved to Mumbai and attended the exclusive American School of Bombay. This muticultural exposure equipped her with unique communication skill, perspective and empathy and an understanding that there was always more than one way of solving problems. Sonali was recently appointed as trustee of run-dwn Sindhi Panchayat Senior Secondary School in Jaipur where she leads meetings with her grass root knowledge and expertise in education.
