Dr. Meshri was born on March 11, 1936 in British India. After the partition of British India in 1947 into “India” and “Pakistan”, his family ended up moving to India and choosing Indian citizenship. He received B.Sc. First Class (Hons) in Chemistry from Gujarat University, M.Sc. from MR Institute of Science from Gujarat University, Ph.D. from the University of Idaho, and did postdoctoral work at Cornell University. He then joined Ozark-Mahoning Co.-Pennwalt Corp., as Head of Research and Research Director, where he worked for 18 years.
Dr. Meshri is the President/CEO of Advance Research Chemicals, Inc., “ARC”, which he started in 1987 and it has become one of the largest Inorganic Fluoride Specialty Chemical Producers in the world. ARC makes over 300 chemicals and also caters to a variety of industries, such as automobile, electronic, semiconductor, plastic, uv-curing, high-energy lithium batteries, pharmaceutical industries, consumer care and space industries.
His research interests vary from Rocket propellants to biochemical drugs, high- energy battery systems, new material for waffers, automobile industry, electronics, fabric and metal surface treatment products, ion implantation gases, etc. He was a member of The European Grand Sasso Neutrino Project and Member of the Space Research Advisory Board, Princeton University, Member of the Advisory Board for Scientific Curriculum at TJC (TCC) and a Member of the Oklahoma Center for the Advancement of Science and Technology (OCAST), by the Governor of Oklahoma since 2005.
Dr. Meshri was inducted into the University of Idaho Alumni Hall of Fame in 2008 and the College of Science Academy of Distinguished Alumni in 2010. Dr. Meshri is an author and co-author of many technical papers, patents, books, and encyclopedias of chemical technology. Furthermore, he is well recognized as an expert industrial fluorine chemist all over the world and coordinates his research with associates in England, France, Georgia, Germany, India, Japan, Russia and Ukraine. He travels globally to deliver lectures to academic and industrial research institutes to inspire the youth. He works closely with Oklahoma’s academic universities. Recently,he joined the faculty of the University in Dneproptrovsk, Ukraine as Honorary Professor to teach and promote solar research and new polymers for fuel cells.
Professional Affiliations include, Fellow of American Institute of Chemists and member of the Board of Directors, a member of Moissan Award Committee, France, American Chemical Society (he has served as an alternate councilor, secretary, treasurer and two-term Chairman, Tulsa Section), He has served in the past as a Board Member of The Electrochemical Society, American Association for the Advancement of Science, New York Academy of Sciences, American Engineers Automobile Association Member, Board Member of the American Institute of Chemists, Member of SAE International, and Society of Sigma XI, Permanent Vice Chairman for Siberian International F 2 Conferences, Chairman of International Indian Fluorine Conference and Advisory Board Member for Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii, Board member of the Tulsa Global Alliance, Trustee for North Gujarat Education Society and a Trustee for the University of Idaho Foundation (USA). Dr. Meshri is a past President of Alliance of Global Sindhi Associations, Inc. (AGSA) and President of Global Sindhi Foundation.

Dr. Meshri married his wife on June 20, 1966, Dr. Indu Meshri, who departed for heaven on May 16, 2005. She was a great scientist, educationalist, artist, social worker, and always supported causes related to needy women and children. She was an “achiever” and a “doer”, and honestly believed that, “what men could do, women could do better”, she preached this on many occasions. Drs. Dayal & Indu Meshri moved to Tulsa in 1969. They have two children, Gita and Sanjay. Gita is a OB/Gyn Surgeon. She has one daughter, Aria and a son, Arjan. Their son, Sanjay is married to Julie James and they have three daughters, Asha, Bella and Daya. Sanjay graduated from the University of Tulsa and holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry through the department of engineering and applied sciences along with Continuing Education at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and at Harvard University. He graduated Stagen Integral Leadership Program, Stagen Advanced Leadership Program.
